Former President Pervez Musharraf has said that he wants to work for prosperity of the country and people by coming into power again adding the present leadership has failed.
Talking to media after attending the reception party given by the Pakistani community in his honor here on Thursday, he said that he was always present for rendering services to the country.
He said that his colleagues made him emotional to come again into country’s politics, adding that if the Pakistani people associated expectations with him, he would have to proceed and do something.
He said that he had deliberately decided to leave the power despite knowing that Pakistan would not run in a right way ahead that was why, he added, he prayed for Pakistan while resigning from the presidency.
To a query regarding Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, Gen. (r) Pervez Musharraf said that Nawaz Sharif did not give rational statements and said he would not make any comment on his statements.
