Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has on Saturday said that he will ensure swift justice for Zain’s mother. He said that the incident was being thoroughly investigated and no political interference would be allowed in the case, reported Dunya News. Visiting the deceased boy’s house in Lahore along with Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada, MNA NA-125 Khawaja Saad Rafique and IG Punjab, CM Punjab said that the culprit will get punished for his crime.

لاہور(قدرت نیوز ) نئے سلیکٹرز نے ٹیم میں ’نیاپن‘ لانے کیلیے سرجوڑ لیے، ناکارہ اور نافرمان کرکٹرز کو گھڑ بٹھانے کا فیصلہ کرلیا گیا، دورئہ بنگلہ دیش کیلیے ناصر جمشید کیساتھ عمر اکمل کے نام پر’لکیر‘ کھنچنے کا امکان ہے، مصباح الحق اور شاہد آفریدی کی صورت میں 2سینئرز کی رخصتی تجربہ کار یونس خان کیلیے ایک روزہ ٹیم میں لائف لائن ثابت ہوسکتی ہے۔ احمد شہزاد کے نام پر مشاورت طول پکڑ گئی، فواد عالم کی واپسی ہوگی، دن بھر کی کڑی مشقت کے بعد سلیکشن کمیٹی نے شام کو چیئرمین بورڈ شہریار خان کو کارگزاری کی رپورٹ دی، جمعرات کو بھی مشاورت کا عمل جاری رکھا جائیگا۔ دوسری جانب دورہ سری لنکا کیلیے اے ٹیم کی کمان عمر امین کو سونپنے کا فیصلہ کرلیا گیا۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق رواں ماہ شیڈول دورہ بنگلہ دیش کیلیے ٹیم منتخب کرنے کے سلسلے میں گذشتہ روز نئی سلیکشن کمیٹی کا پہلا باقاعدہ اجلاس لاہور میں ہوا۔ ہارون رشید کی زیرسربراہی میٹنگ میں دیگر سلیکٹرز اظہر خان، کبیر خان اور سلیم جعفر نے بھی شرکت کی۔ ذرائع کے مطابق پہلے مرحلے میں ورلڈ کپ میں قومی ٹیم کا حصہ بننے والے کھلاڑیوں، ڈومیسٹک سطح پر عمدہ پرفارم کرنے والوں اور پاکستان اے ٹیم میں شامل پلیئرزکی فہرست کا جائزہ لیا گیا، اس کے بعد ایک اور لسٹ تیار کی گئی کہ کون سے کھلاڑی تینوں طرز کی کرکٹ کا حصہ بنیں گے، یا 1،2 فارمیٹس کیلیے اسکواڈ کا حصہ ہونگے۔ ذرائع کے مطابق اجلاس میں ورلڈ کپ کی ٹیم مینجمنٹ کی رپورٹ کا بھی جائزہ لیا گیا جس کے بعد فیصلہ ہوا کہ ناقص کارکردگی دکھانے اور ٹیم کا ماحول خراب کرنے والے پلیئرز کو دورہ بنگلہ دیش سے دور رکھا جائے۔ ذرائع کے مطابق ناصر جمشید اور عمر اکمل کو ڈھاکاکا ٹکٹ نہ دینے پر اتفاق ہو گیا،احمد شہزاد کو ٹیم سے ان یا آؤٹ کرنے کے معاملے پر بعد میں غور ہو گا۔ شاہد آفریدی اور مصباح الحق کی ایک روزہ انٹر نیشنل کرکٹ سے ریٹائرمنٹ کے بعد یونس کو ون ڈے ٹیم کا حصہ بنانے کے معاملے پر سلیکٹرز حتمی نتیجہ پر نہیں پہنچ سکے، تجربہ کار مڈل آرڈر کے بارے میں کوئی فیصلہ کرنے سے پہلے کپتان اور کوچ سے بھی مشاورت کی جائے گی۔ذرائع کے مطابق بابر اعظم، سمیع اسلم اور فواد عالم سمیت ڈومیسٹک سطح پر عمدہ پرفارم کرنے والے نوجوان کھلاڑیوں کو صلاحیتوں کے اظہار کا بھر پور موقع فراہم کیا جائے گا۔ سلیکشن کمیٹی جمعرات کو ایک بار پھر بنگال ٹائیگرز کیخلاف تینوں طرز کی ٹیموں کے انتخاب کے حوالے سے مزید مشاورت کرے گی۔ کپتانوں مصباح الحق، اظہر علی اور شاہد آفریدی کے ساتھ ہیڈ کوچ کو بھی مدعو کر کے ان سے سلیکشن پر رائے طلب کی جائے گی،وقار یونس آئندہ چند روز میں آسٹریلیا سے پاکستان آ رہے ہیں۔ ادھر سلیکشن کمیٹی نے گذشتہ روز چیئرمین پی سی بی سے بھی ملاقات کی، قذافی اسٹیڈیم میں سلیکٹرز نے شہریار خان کو دن بھر ہونے والی پیش رفت سے آگاہ کیا۔ دوسری جانب دورہ سری لنکا کیلیے اے ٹیم کی کمان عمر امین کو سونپنے کا فیصلہ کرلیا گیا ہے،سلیکٹرز نے رواں ماہ شیڈول سیریز کیلیے ابتدائی مرحلے میں اظہر علی کو قائد بنانے کا فیصلہ کیا تھا تاہم انھیں ون ڈے قیادت سونپے جانے کے بعد لیفٹ ہینڈ بیٹسمین کی قسمت چمک اٹھی، فواد عالم بھی اے ٹیم کی قیادت کیلیے فیورٹ تھے تاہم دورئہ بنگلہ دیش کیلیے ان کا نام ممکنہ کھلاڑیوں میں شامل کیا جا سکتا ہے، اس وجہ سے اس آپشن پر غور نہیں ہوا۔ سیریز کی تیاریوں کے لیے ایک ہفتے کا کیمپ لگانے کی بھی تجویز زیر غور ہے۔ یاد رہے کہ ورلڈ کپ میں قومی ٹیم کی ناقص کارکردگی کے بعد پی سی بی نے ہارون رشید کی زیر سربراہی نئی سلیکشن کمیٹی تشکیل دی، البتہ چیئرمین بورڈ شہریار خان نے جونیئر کمیٹی کو بدستور کام جاری رکھنے کی ہدایت دی تھی، اس کے سربراہ باسط علی جبکہ دیگر ارکان میں علی نقوی، علی ضیا اور فرخ زمان شامل ہیں ۔ اپریل کے تیسرے ہفتے میں شیڈول سیریز میں پاکستان اے ٹیم سری لنکا کیخلاف 3 چار روزہ اور اتنے ہی ون ڈے میچز کھیلے گی، جونیئر سلیکشن کمیٹی نے آخری بارکینیا کیخلاف لاہور میں شیڈول5 ون ڈے میچزکیلیے اے ٹیم کا انتخاب کیا تھا۔

Lahore: Plaza collapsed in Anarkali, rescue teams removing debris

Roof of a garments shop in Anarkali market of Lahore collapsed on Friday under the rubble of which 10 people got trapped. Rescue teams have rescued 6 out of the ten people trapped and are still removing the debris, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, the rescued people were mildly injured. Ambulance arrived immediately at the place while DCO Lahore Captain (r) Usman also examined the situation in person.

Youhanabad Lynching: 2nd Victim Was A Hosiery Dealer

The second victim of the mob violence that followed the Youhanabad church bombings was identified on Tuesday as a hosiery dealer. This came a day after the first victim was identified as local glass cutter Muhammad Naeem. An angry mob had caught the two men on suspicion they were accomplices of the suicide bombers who attacked Christ Church and St. John’s Catholic Church on March 15. The mob lynched the two men to death before setting their bodies on fire on Ferozepur Road. However, on Monday a man, Muhammad Saleem, came to the Nishtar Colony police station and claimed that one of the lynched men was actually his brother, Muhammad Saleem, a glass cutter from Kasur district. Subsequent DNA profiling confirmed the claim. A day later, a family visited the Nishtar Colony police station and claimed that the second victim was Babar Nauman, a resident of Sargodha. According to SHO Tanveer Ahmad, the family said Nauman was a hosiery dealer and came to Lahore on a business trip six days ago. The family further said that they recognised Nauman from the lynching pictures circulated on social media. The family said Nauman was innocent and the mob brutally lynched him on mere suspicion. The police, however, said the body would be handed over to the family only after the DNA profiling confirmed it was Nauman’s. The charred body of Muhammad Naeem was, meanwhile, handed over to his family for burial. In a related development the Nishtar Colony police registered six FIRs in connection with the Youhanabad church bombings and the ensuing mob violence. According to the breakdown, two FIRs were lodged on the complaints of the administrations of the two churches; two others were lodged on the complaint of SHO Tanveer Ahmad against Christian community members for ransacking Metro bus terminals at Youhanabad and Kahna and torturing police officials; the fifth FIR was lodged against Christian community members on the complaint of Muhammad Saleem for lynching his brother Muhammad Naeem; while the sixth FIR was lodged against Maryam Safdar, a schoolteacher, who crushed two protesters under her car on Ferozepur Road on Monday. The Lahore police have collected the video footage of the incidents from the electronic media and sent high-resolution pictures to the National Database and Registration Authority for identifying those involved in vandalism and lynching. A police officer told The Express Tribune that they have detained 20 people after identifying them from television footage. However, the duty officer at the Nishtar Colony police station said no one was officially detained so far. Meanwhile residents of Youhanabad started fleeing their homes Tuesday night to avoid arrest by the police. Blocks H and G of Youhanabad, where Muslims are in majority, especially looked deserted as the minority Christian residents felt insecure. “I’m the last one in my street moving out of the locality. All others have locked their houses and left,” one Christian resident of Street 3, Block H, told The Express Tribune. “I’m moving out because rumour has it that the police will conduct raids tonight.” Nearly 5,000 police personnel along with 10 companies of paramilitary Rangers remained deployed around Youhanabad on Tuesday. Entry and exit points of Youhanabad were manned by security personnel throughout the day who checked everyone going in and out of the neighbourhood.

Lahore Church Blasts: Protests Turn Violent In Lahore

Some 5,000 Christians rallied in Lahore Monday, blocking roads and shouting anti-government slogans in a second day of protests against twin Taliban suicide bombings of churches that killed 17 people and injured 77 others in Youhanabad area. Protests turned violent in different cities including Lahore and Gujranwala. Angry crowd in Youhanabad threw rocks at passing cars, smashing their windows. Metro Bus service was suspended when angry protestors armed with clubs blocked main Ferozpur Road. Some of the protestors hurled stones and empty bottles on civilians and subjected them to torture.
