Model Ayyan Ali's bail request rejected

Rawalpindi bench of Lahore High Court rejected bail request of model Ayyan Ali on Tuesday. Justice Mehmood Iqbal Bajwa passed verdict on the bail application, Dunya News reported. Session judge of Customs department had already rejected her bail request. Model Ayyan Ali was arrested on 14th of March when she was trying to smuggle 5 lac American dollars to Dubai.

Ayyan Ali Petitions Bail, LHC Orders Customs Authorities To Submit Reply

LAHORE – Supermodel Ayyan Ali on Friday has submitted a petition seeking bail in the Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench upon which the court has dispatched notice to the Customs Department to submit a reply.
According to the details, Ali submitted a petition seeking bail in the LHC regarding her money laundering case. The hearing of the petition was held by Justice Tariq Abbasi. The LHC has ordered the Customs authorities to submit a reply within two weeks.

According to the petitioner’s counsel, the entire incident was wrongly covered. Ali did not try to launder money, he added. He urged the court to release his client on immediate basis.

Earlier, the Special Customs Court had rejected Ali’s bail plea.
