Victim of Youhanabad tragedy Naeem, who was burned by a mob on Sunday, has turned out to be an ordinary citizen. Naeem, a resident of Kasur, was a glass-worker and had came to Lahore for buying glass from the local market. Police has been deployed for the protection of Christian community post Naeem’s death as there is fear of retaliation against the community.

Kabul rocked by blast near Iran Embassy

KABUL: A civilian was killed and another injured in a suicide blast at the main gate of Iranian embassy, local media reported on Thursday

According to Afghan officials and police, a suicide bomber driving a car packed with explosives has targeted a vehicle of the Turkish embassy in the Afghan capital during the morning rush hour.

It is pertinent to mention here that both Turkish and Iranian embassies are adjacent to each other.

A Turkish embassy vehicle was damaged and casualties were expected.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

Four terrorists were killed by the police during a search operation in Sohrab Goth area of Karachi on Thursday. Suicide jackets, explosive material and modern weapons were also discovered in the operation, Dunya News reported. According to SSP Malir, Rao Anwar, police had raided the hideout of an outlawed organization. He said that the terrorists started firing on the police due to which more policemen were called in. In a heavy exchange of fire between police and the terrorists, four of the terrorists were killed.
